Most damage during shipping happens because an item wasn't packed for what it's actually about to go through — weeks in transit, handling at multiple points, and stacking with other cargo. Here's how to pack the most common items people send to Pakistan.
Furniture
Wrap edges and corners with cardboard or foam padding before stretch-wrapping the whole piece. Remove any legs or detachable parts and pack them separately, labeled, so they don't get lost or snap off in transit.
Electronics and appliances
Use the original box if you still have it — it's built for exactly this. If not, use a sturdy box with at least 5cm of cushioning on every side. Appliances like fridges and washing machines need to be fully drained and dry before packing, or moisture damage and bad odors can set in during the journey.
Fragile and glass items
Wrap each piece individually, not just the group together, and use a double-box method — one box inside a larger box with cushioning in between. Mark the box clearly as fragile on multiple sides, not just the top.
Documents and valuables
Keep these separate from your main shipment. For anything irreplaceable, it's worth checking with us about the safest way to send it rather than packing it in with general cargo.
Clear labeling
Label every box with its contents and the recipient's full address in Pakistan. Clear labeling means less handling delay and lowers the chance of a box being opened or mishandled at customs.
